Most rear-routed guitars are designed with a 1/4" or 6mm top thickness, and the longer 1/2" threaded bushing on these pots makes them perfect for these rear-rout applications.

The best guitar pots we're aware of are made by CTS - this is the brand that pretty much every American guitar company has used for decades.

Mounting hardware included for every pot (shown in the last photo).

Specs

500k audio taper (logarithmic)

10% resistance tolerance (the tightest CTS offers)

Solid shaft (for setscrew knobs)

1/4" shaft diameter

3/8-32 SAE bushing thread

1/2" thread length (rear-routed guitars)

Low torque (dimpled back - turns easily)

15/16" body diameter

Details

Be advised: these pots have 1/4" (6.35mm) solid shafts, designed for knobs held on with a setscrew. Most imported guitars with setscrew knobs use metric pots with 6mm shafts, and their knobs won't fit a 1/4" shaft unless the hole in the knob is enlarged to 1/4".

While this might seem like no big deal, in practice it's not something the average consumer will find trivial. A drill bit that grabs a metal knob and spins it in the hand risks cutting the hand, and especially if it has a setscrew sticking out on one side. Unless you have a drill press and a way to hold the knob from spinning without marring it, you might find it advisable to buy new knobs. All of the Fender and Callaham setscrew knobs we sell will work, they all have 1/4" bores and are designed for CTS pots with solid shafts.
