This upgrade eliminates the years of problems and frustration of a Bigsby Vibrato restringing. This is a polished stainless steel shaft that is counterbored for the string ball ends. Thread the string through the hole and up to the tuner. Works for all models and comes with retaining clip.
Not for licensed or import Bigsby-style vibratos.
Great improvement in string-settling time. Will stay in tune in a matter of hours, not days (!!) like the standard "wrap around" Bigsby string mounting pegs.
Anyway, I'm glad Callaham took the trouble to do some real-world re-engineering work.

Put it on a B 12 and it fits perfectly on this model also, if the grover roller will fit im ordering one of those also, nicely built parts
Unlike the more modern Gretsches, the historic come with the old style Bigsby with the pins. And let’s face it, they’re a pain in the butt to restring. This Callaham shaft solves all that. Easy to install also. I’m using this on my ‘53 Gretsch Duo-Jet. Also, added a roller bridge that’s adjustable. Would definitely buy again if needed.

Bought it for a Guild Bigsby.
The shaft is about .366, but opening about .39
Shaft too loose and wobbly.
Ill save it to use on a Gretsch.
