Groove Master saddles for Strat, in steel: the look of the original bent-steel saddles, but machined from a single piece, with micro-grooves for string spacing and a clean break point.

Fits Strats with vintage 2-7/32" (56.4 mm) string spacing.

History

Who makes it. Music City Bridge products are designed by Joe Glaser and the master technicians at Glaser Instruments in Nashville, the shop where many of Nashville's heavy hitters take their guitars. The parts are made in a facility inside the shop.

The Strat saddle problem. The original Strat saddle is bent from thin sheet steel. Because the metal is thin, the height and intonation screws only get a few threads of grip, so the saddles can shift and settings can drift. The height screws often stick up above the saddle, right where your palm rests. And nothing holds each string in a set position side to side.

The Groove Master keeps the classic bent-steel look but solves these problems.

Details

Machined, not bent. Each saddle is machined from one piece of steel, so the screws get far more thread to grip, for steadier intonation and height.

Micro-grooves. Set your string spacing where you want it, and it stays put, even with trem use.

Screws. Stainless 4-40 height and intonation screws (the original American Strat thread), so they won't rust. More of each height screw sits inside the saddle, so shorter screws do the job and don't snag your hand.

Fit. For Strats with vintage 2-7/32" (56.4 mm) string spacing, including:
