These are the parts you'll need to complement our Jazzmaster wiring kit. These genuine Fender parts are the ones that Fender used in the '62 American Vintage Jazzmaster reissue guitars. We buy these roller knobs and brackets directly from Fender, and we buy the pots in our Jazzmaster wiring kits directly from Fender, so you can be assured these are the right parts to fit our wiring kit.

The bracket is used to mount the Jazzmaster's mini pots to its pickguard. Screws included. The roller knobs are anodized aluminum, and are held onto the pot shafts with a setscrew.

PLEASE NOTE: This kit fits vintage Fender guitars and USA-made vintage reissues. It will not fit the pots that come in some of the imported guitars, either Fender Japan or Squier. If you want to use this kit on one of those guitars, you'll need to replace the wiring components as well. Our Jazzmaster wiring kit is just what you'll need.

Not for aluminum pickguards

I'm sure its great on plastic guards but on an aluminum guard you have to really torque the screws to get them to seat all the way and not rattle and the bracket strips out under the strain. Maybe I can find a nut to get it tight

This is a problem we're familiar with, but had forgotten about. Our experience with it involves Strat pickguards - on Fender's vintage 8-hole Strat pickguards that are anodized, the pickup and switch mounting holes are countersunk, requiring an oval-head machine screw. The pickups don't pose a problem, but when you mount the switch the same thing happens that this customer experienced: the substrate is too thin to allow the screw heads to seat into the countersinks before the threads are bottomed out. The easy solution is to put small washers between the back of the pickguard and the switch (or in this customer's case, the Jazzmaster's bracket).

But the more elegant solution is to use machine screws with undercut heads. Which we have just realized we need to stock! So if you're reading this review and you're considering buying this bracket and using it on an anodized aluminum pickguard, be sure to search our site for ''undercut screws'' to find the screws you need. And apologies to this customer, we're going to replace his bracket and send him undercut screws.
